GRP Enclosure - Battery Room

The GRP Battery Room is a prefabricated, panel-built enclosure designed to house battery banks and associated electrical equipment in demanding outdoor and industrial environments. Made from glass-reinforced plastic (GRP), it does not rust or corrode, and every fixing and accessories are SS 316/316L for long life in aggressive, humid or coastal conditions.

The room is insulated through its door, wall panels and roof, and is fitted with a removable roof, heavy-duty SS 316 butt hinges, a key-operated, double-side opening door handle with a 3-cam locking system, and SS 316 lifting hooks. Panels are fixed with SS 316 bolts, nuts and screws, and the GRP roof panel joints are finished with caps. Internally, the room is planned with gland plates for cable entry, provisions for split air-conditioning, an A/C controller and temperature sensor, a distribution board, LED tube lights, emergency lighting, a fire detector, and switches and sockets as shown on the approved layout. All sizes depend on the particular requirement.

Al Hilal manufactures its GRP products to the same controlled procedures used across its GRP range, with visual, Barcol hardness and dimensional checks against the approved drawing. The surface spread of flame of the room is rated to BS 476 Part 7, Class 2. Layouts, cut-outs and electrical fit-out can be adapted to project requirements.
