uPVC Drainage & Sewerage Pipe

Al Hilal uPVC (PVC-U) Drainage & Sewerage Pipes carry domestic wastewater, sewage, surface water and other approved fluids by gravity through buried networks. They are manufactured in Oman by Al Hilal Plastic Industries LLC to BS EN 1401-1, the standard for solid-wall PVC-U pipes, fittings and systems used in buried non-pressure drainage and sewerage. The system is intended for gravity service, not for pressurised water.

Production is controlled from raw material to dispatch. Only approved PVC-U formulations are released, and every batch is identified and traceable. Pipes are extruded, vacuum-calibrated for diameter and roundness, cooled, hauled off, marked online, cut square to length, and socketed with a formed ring groove where required. Outside diameter, wall thickness, ovality, length and socket geometry are checked in process and on finished pipe, and ring stiffness, impact resistance, longitudinal reversion and Vicat softening are tested as part of the quality programme. Material test certificates can accompany deliveries.

Buried drainage pipes work together with the surrounding soil to carry soil, traffic and groundwater loads, so the stiffness class (SN2, SN4 or SN8) should be selected for burial depth, soil, groundwater, traffic and trench conditions, and the pipe must be properly bedded and backfilled. The pipe must not be used as a pressure pipeline unless it has been separately designed, tested and approved for that duty. Manufactured under an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system.
